Footpath from Huttoft Pit to Sandilands
Reported via mobile in the Surface issue category anonymously at 17:50, Thu 4 December 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2864215.
Access to the NT Sandilands reserve from the road at LWT Huttoft Pit is dangerous and really needs steps installing up the bank to the new gate (although that seems to have been removed). Particularly in wet conditions it is almost impossible to safely use the path with a risk of falling into oncoming traffic. See photos. I hope this can be resolved quickly

Hello,
Thanks for letting us know about this matter to do with this public right of way. Just so that you know, this is what’s classified as a ‘Priority 3 Path’ within our current Lincolnshire County Council policy. Because this path is a ‘3’ there’s no specific timescale for resolution of surface issues. However, we will try to get this sorted out as soon as we possibly can. We’ll let you know when anything happens further on this matter but, for now, we won’t be carrying out any work at this site.
BUT! If any report made to us is a Health and Safety matter, then this will be dealt with in a timescale that’s appropriate. We’ll assess each report made this way on its own merit, and then take the right measures to ensure safety for those who are using the path.State changed to: No further action
