Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering more than half the road category by Adam Dearden at 08:09, Tue 9 December 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2864828.
Deep standing water covering more than half the road every time it rains! This problem has been here for the last few years and never gets resolved! A permanent solution needs to be found! It's ok when temperatures are above freezing but combine the standing water with freezing temperatures and there will be a very serious accident!

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

There was still water from the blocked drain on the road when the temperatures dropped below freezing. Any grit dropped on the A631 would have dissolved. The roads then froze (see Linc police reports). Had there been an accident with ice at this junction, would Highways/Council have accepted responsibility? This drainage situation has been happening for months. Please sort accordingly. Thank you

Initial attendance in November did not fully complete the required works. As such the works were reprogrammed, and the jetter attended again on 17/12/25. It was noted from the works that there were some issues with roots in the system and as such they are due to re-attend with root cutting equipment to hopefully help alleviate these issues. Provisionally, this next attendance is due to be undertaken on the 2/2/26, but the programmes are subject to change. Thank you for reporting this matter.
