Culvert blocked not allowing water to flow

Reported via desktop in the Damaged dyke, ditch or culvert category anonymously at 08:12, Tue 9 December 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2864830.

This is the only full drain in the chain water appears to be coming from the path by our gate suspect under path culvert is blocked. The drain in question has been cleared in the past and it is only a short pipe into the culvert

  • After recent rain the garden and path flooded as shown in first two photos the third photo is the drain that has not cleared, no water going into drain. The last photo is of the drain by the gate this is clearing well, it appears the water is coming from the path as there is a fair flow rate . The water also is of a slightly grey colour, not as clear as fresh rain water

  • Both drains immediately outside property not clearing at all. Water 6cm deep in garden and across road, water running around corner to drain which is clearing well. No debris around drains.

  • Water slowly draining away a day after the rain stopped. Checked other drains further up the road all empty and very little water around.
