Blocked drain problem

A very visible and obvious current defect on the Cornhill carpark area is a gully that is full to surface level with compacted material.
Please could we task the area team to undertake a dig out of the chamber and jet through to the next gully on the system to ensure running clear.
I have attached a location plan showing the location of the defect gully and direction of the outflow pipe.
I have submitted a request for the 2 gullies to be added onto the LCC database as drainage assets so they will hopefully be picked on future routine cleansing cycles to avoid what is probably 20+ years of detritus build up reoccurring.

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.
