Road outside Askot House on Spridlington Road Faldingworth

Reported via desktop in the Standing water covering less than half the road category anonymously at 16:44, Thu 18 December 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2866245.

Drain at end of drive is not dispersing the rain water this could stay there for days. The main problem is it's flooding the only footpath on this road in this part of the village. Subsequently forcing pedestrians to work on the road where there is no street light present.

  • The drain at the end of this driveway is blocked, can you get a team to come and unblock it please? With all the recent rain it is proving to be quite a nuisance, and as has already been noted is forcing people onto the road. Last update to 'In progress' was on 16th January and we are now into February with no change and originally reported back in December. Your prompt attention to this matter would be very much appreciated.

  • The drain in question has not been attended to. There was a drain cleaning truck that came about a week ago and whilst he did a great job of cleaning the drains along Spridlington Road, he completely missed the one that was under water! Unfortunately the issue remains and has not been fixed.

  • As you can see from the photo the problem of the blocked drain is still unresolved. According to the recent update I have been sent in regard to this problem saying it is all fixed I'm afraid it is not. Your reference to this job is 2866245. Now the gully sucker truck did come and clear drains down Spridlington Road in Faldingworth but somehow missed the drain that is still under the water at the end of my drive.
