The barrier has now disintegrated and has fallen into the dyke. The barrier is now causing a build up of debris in the dyke. There is now no safety barrier on the road to warn car or pedestrian users of the road of the significant drop into the dyke. It is not easy to see the drop into the dyke given the amount of plant growth. This has been reported before when the barrier was just in a state of disrepair/disintegration under reference 2845299. Proposed works in the area that is mentioned in the resolution section for job reference 2845299 have been completed and so there should be nothing to stop a new warning barrier being installed at this location. Additionally, the safety barrier on the opposite side of the road is falling into further disrepair and again is warning users of the road that there is danger of a significant drop on this side of the road as as well.
