Just before the speed camera heading east on the A17

Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering more than half the road category by James Klein at 10:47, Sun 21 December 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2866582.

Once again the culverts and drains on the A17 Leadenham bypass are choked with debris and the drains themselves appear blocked and unable to remove the rainwater especially during heavy rain. This has led to flooding across the road which in turn causes alarming aquaplaning/skidding and sudden flooded/opaque windscreens from vehicle spray from traffic passing in the opposite direction. It is especially bad near the speed camera as well as at various points up the hill. This whole area and the 2 significant areas of flooding have been reported many times before and each time the response seems to have been that the drains are either clear (!) or that they will be cleared as part of the annual clean neither of which actually appears to have happened despite the whole hill being cordoned off with bollards recently. The aquaplaning just recently was the worst it has been for about a year and I drive that section of road twice a day.
