Ruskington Fen Road at Dorrington Road Junction
Reported via mobile in the Uneven surface category anonymously at 00:16, Thu 25 December 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2866970.
///proof.profited.imitate Road surface broken and cracked with sharp steps and gaps in road surface along a 36 metre stretch. Road has deep cracks up to 42cm deep into road-bed, either side of a raised central ridge approx 45cm wide which steps down approx 12cm to lower side sections. Vehicles are now routinely striking the road surface at several points along this section of road, as can be seen by numerous witness marks on the road. Road is collapsing further at the side of the road, leading cars to slip off onto the verge or swerve to avoid grounding. Location 8 of 8 within an area of general surface degradation over a 500 metre stretch of road. Road defects reported several times but no repair action has been taken. This road is becoming more dangerous every week. There was a fatality at this exact spot in 2010 and the condition of the road here is likely to lead to another serious accident before long.

The work’s definitely NOT finished and the issue is NOT resolved. This section of road has not been repaired, the crew didn’t even close off this section during the small amount of patching work they did do. The attached photo was taken this morning, showing that no work whatsoever has been done. Please revisit and fix this road before it injures or kills someone.

4 months on from reporting this in December, and 7 months after first reporting it in September 25, no work has been carried out on this stretch of road. The road condition continues to worsen and the ridge in the centre of the road is forcing vehicles either onto the verge or onto the opposite side of the road. PLease send someone out to review the condition of this stretch of road and consider repairing it before more vehicles are damaged.
