Please conduct and provide me with a full investigation into the following incident: On Wednesday 7th January, on my commute to work (even though driving carefully due to the existing ice and snow) I lost control of my car on black ice as I was taking a bend and sustained damage to my car. I also damaged someone's wall. This would not have happened if the road had been gritted. A grit box is situated in that exact location so the council are fully aware that this is a high risk area for ice. The roads had been a safety issue in that area for nearly a week prior to my incident, but no attempt had been made by the council to take any action to mitigate any risk to the general public. Please provide the risk assessment showing your justification for not gritting this obvious high risk section of road during the recent severe weather we have been having. Following this investigation and the obvious act of negligence on your part, I will be seeking advice regarding compensation.
