The path from the footbridge from Riverside Close into the Sainsburys pathway.

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Road/Pavement) category anonymously at 16:01, Sunday 11 January 2026

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2868768.

The large Willow tree that overhangs the carpark is hanging too low and has caused a screening off tape to be placed near the supermarket side of the path leading from the Riverside Close footbridge. It has been there for nearly two months now. Some work has been recently done on the bridge side, where the wood and foliage is much denser, but for some reason, the are some strappy overhanging fronds on the other side that still remain. It means that at busy times any wheelchair or pram users are cut off as they now have to use the empty car park spaces to get to the store, or to go beyond it, as many do instead. I believe that it is starting to effect the morale of the local people and needs to be addressed as soon as possible. The path generally leads to a small zebra crossing in the quietest corner of the carpark, which ensures safety and a clear route to the entrance of the store. School pupils also use it. Thank you.
