Alongside the pedestrian crossing going eastbound
Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 20:17, Sunday 18 January 2026
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2870484.
Lots of excess water, despite no rain. Have observed it over the past 2 weeks and water is collecting in large puddles which should dry out. I can only assume a drain is blocked. What then causes issues is when temperatures drop. It causes the pathway to become a sheet of pure ice, next to a pedestrian crossing and very busy road. Dangerous if someone slips and into the road

Why have we closed this report? We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.
