The water is across the path meaning pedestrians and cyclists will need to walk on the road again

  • Thank you, I would respectfully suggest that the ‘solution’ provided last time was rather short term as it only protected pedestrians while the water drained naturally. A more long term solution is needed i.e. regular clearing and maintenance of the best along this stretch and either side of the problem.

  • The main issue here is that this part of the Beck is really overgrown and needs clearing so it can contain more water. Could its clearance be looked at?

  • The culvert is partially blocked and is in a poor state of repair. Asset map states LCC responsible for maintenance? The internal stream is partially blocked overgrown and has not been cleared for many years. With heavy rain the upstream area can not flow at a sufficient rate so overflows into the surrounding fields and pathway. Unless the stream is dug out the flooding will continue.
