  • Milestone Lane, Flaxmill Lane and Langhole Drove were scheduled to be closed on Tuesday 3rd Feb to prevent further damage to the roads, verges and drains caused by the huge increase in vehicular traffic using said lanes as an unauthorised diversion and also to protect pedestrians and other road users from the vastly increased road safety issues arising from the 2500 plus vehicles per day now using these rural lanes. The closure didn't happen. The road closures were then scheduled to take place on Saturday 14th Feb but again the closures didn't happen. Road closures were rescheduled once again for Monday 16th Feb but low and behold, here we are at gone 4:00 pm on the 16th and the roads are still open to traffic and there is no sign of the Street Works team. Can you lot please get off your backsides, do the jobs that you are paid for and arrange to get these now extremely dangerous country lanes closed immediately before someone is seriously injured or killed!
