Investigating
Growing on the boundary of Walk House.
Reported via desktop in the Tree/hedge restricting available highway category anonymously at 15:05, Friday 30 January 2026
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2873745.
I am reporting this as Chair of North Cockerington Parish, as this issue was raised by a number of people at our most recent meeting. These trees growing at Walk House completely overhang the road and pavement. There is no way of knowing the condition of these large and heavy branches and many people walk along this pavement, especially when the school is turning out. The property owners apparently deny any responsibility for their trees outside of their boundary. Please advise. They also block the lane coming off Meadow Lane (Church Walk) with trees and hedges growing along their other boundary, for which they take no responsibility. At times this vegetation touches the ground making the right of way impassable. Other residents are unhappy at having to clear this themselves. Please advise if Highways or the owners of Walk House are responsible. Thank You.
