Going Down Meadow Lane from the School it is on the right hand side, where the road narrows

Every day during term time, Meadow Lane has a long line of parked cars right down as far as Walk House. Unfortunately the road narrows for no obvious reason over the road from Ashlea, so vehicles have to drive onto the grass verge to get past. Exactly at the point that the road narrows, is a drain crossing the road to a drainage ditch opposite. Unfortunately the drain is covered in tough concrete which stands proud of the road and is hidden by the grass. This problem was passed onto me in my capacity as Parish Chair, at our most recent meeting. A number of residents have damaged vehicles because of this and wondered why it had not been rectified a long time ago. It is not a new feature. Please advise of the outcome.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.
