  • This was reported in October 2025 then Nov then Dec and again in Jan this year. Highways said it wasn't their problem passed it to anglian water then they decided it was due to flood water and rain gathering on the road. Its obviously a long term major leak from the manhole on the junction but no one wants to fix it however lets not forget "Love Every Drop". I wish you luck with trying again

  • Water is still pouring out of this manhole. It has been like it for months and is dangerous especially when it is icy as it is on the corner of a busy junction.

  • Your Response :.... "Anglian Water is responsible for this issue. We have chased them regarding this report. Please contact them directly at https://www.anglianwater.co.uk/ contact-us/ if you require any further information. Thank you for reporting this matter." We have contacted them since October 2025 and they refuse to acknowledge this is a leak in their system they insist it is flood water gathering on the road.. It is not, but still we hear the same reply is anyone prepared to take this in hand ? Have you any clout with other agencies or is it up to Locals to keep up the pressure until one of you finally crack. As a Council you must have a contact number for Anglian Water ? and the capacity to both meet on site along with Highways to seek a solution surely... Its a water leak ! surely between you all you can deal with this. Please stop sending your local residents on a merry go round of misery, Just Deal with the problem that has been in the centre of the village for 5 months.

  • This leak continues and is getting worse.

  • The AW engineer categorically states that this is gravity-forced seepage from the Highways road drainage system; he gave the opinion that there must be a blockage very close to the seepage site. He refutes that this is potable water going to waste. Please refer back to Highways for them to finally sort this problem.
