Damaged pavement outside 209 Newmarket Road

Reported via Android in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 22:46, Thursday 12 February 2026

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2877562.

A section of pavement along Newmarket Road is significantly damaged and causing a danger to pedestrians. Outside house 209 Newmarket. The pavement has fallen apart in recent years and a hole has appeared next to the kerb and utility cover. This is especially hazardous for wheelchair users, pushchairs, and people with mobility aids such as walking sticks. The hole is worsening each month and loose chippings are scattered on both the pavement and kerbside. This stretch of pavement requires a thorough resurface and leveling please.

  • The damaged pavement surface is approx. 8m in length along the kerb. This needs infilling and made good. The white line on the pavement (presumably identifying this as a cycle lane) has disappeared as the surface material has been eroded away.
