The entire length of Sea Lane
Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category by Beverley McGivern at 15:48, Friday 13 February 2026
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2877782.
The entire length of Sea Lane in as absolute disgrace. Several People, myself included, have burst tyres due to the depth of the potholes. When they come they fill in the worse ones and leave the rest to get bigger. The whole lane needs resurfacing. This problem is ongoing due to the use by heavy tractors and machinery. It's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.

Thank you for your FixMyStreet report.
An officer has inspected Sea Lane and identified two significant defects that already have existing repair works scheduled for completion in February. During the inspection, several smaller defects and areas of carriageway “crazing” were also noted.
To ensure the most effective and lasting repairs, we will be using our jet patcher to address the remaining defects and make the lane safe. Due to weather conditions, this equipment can only be used during the spring to achieve the best results. As a result, these works have been prioritised and scheduled for the early weeks of April.
Sea Lane has also been identified as requiring a larger-scale resurfacing scheme, which we will propose for future programmes. While this cannot be guaranteed in the near future, it is an important step in identifying key locations where resources will need to be directed.
We appreciate your patience during this time. Going forward, inspection frequencies on Sea Lane will be increased, and once the works are completed, we would welcome further FixMyStreet reports should any additional issues arise.
Thank you for reporting this matter.
