This flooding problem was previously reported & you came back on 2/2/26 to say that the drain would be cleared. There are no road drains here in this location and the water is sitting here for days after rain fall. After trying to clear some of the water ourselves, we gound that the road is in disrepair and the water is collecting in an extrmely large pot hole measuring some 20 meters long and half a meter wide. There seems to be many previously repaired pot holes on this stretch of the highway in Helpringham and the road is constantly used by many large commercial vehicles throughout the day, which does not help. The road requires adequate repairs/total resurfacing and appropriate drainage not just patching up.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.
