Mareham Road footpath from Revesby to Mareham Le Fen

Reported via iOS in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category by Michael Eve at 06:41, Thursday 19 February 2026

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2879305.

This was reported over 10 months ago as below:

The footpath is unusable due to lack of maintenance you can hardly walk down it let alone push a pram or wheelchair down it, please make good and clear the paths that people would like to use you have a duty of care to ensure pavements are safe and this is not Thank you

You responded:

Thanks for letting us know about this path. We’ve had a look and put the path into the siding programme of works. That means the path will be cleaned up and put back to its full width. It may take some time to complete these works as they will be put in the programme to be carried out during the winter, so please bear with us. Thank you for reporting this matter. To date there has been no work carried out to make the footpath safe and useable please update on when you will be carrying out the works?

Thank you

  • We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the footway condition and at this time it does not require urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County footway network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • I also reported this months ago and was told it doesn't require attention. IT ABSOLUTELY DOES!

Try actually walking on it!! Anyone who has mobility problems is going to hurt themselves walking on this sorry excuse for a footpath. Does somebody have to break their neck before the council acts??
