Traffic lights for Bargate and Tawney Street
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2880381.
The sequence isn’t right. The traffic turning right into tawney street sometimes only lets 2-3 cars through so it backs up onto John Adam’s Way. The right arrow doesn’t come on to allow traffic to turn straight without giving way to oncoming traffic. Also when the lights all turn red it takes about 20 seconds until the pedestrian green light comes on. Considering they’ve been upgraded, they are not working as they should to help ease congestion

These traffic lights are still causing issues which are resulting in dangerous situations due to traffic going through red lights as this is often the only way to turn right into Tawney Street. The traffic often backs up onto Bargate Roundabout on the A16/A25 causing another dangerous situation. This needs to be remedied before there is a serious accident.

The lights are not working correctly. The filter is not working to let traffic turn right from Wide Bargate into Tawney Street. This is causing traffic to back up onto the roundabout and blocking it. It’s been like this for at least a week.

The traffic lights to turn right from Bargate into Tawney street are not right. Today we waited ages and lights only let 2 cars through each time. No right turn filter. Traffic backing up on roundabout with John Adams Way. This was at 14.00hrs

1045am 3rd April 2026. Traffic light sequence into wide Bargate still causing buildup of traffic at Bargate roundabout. Looked like the filter right not always operating and pedestrians getting excessive time to cross even when there are no pedestrians at the crossing.
