Junction of A16 and Boston Road, Spilsby — pedestrian refuge island at the end of Boston Road where it meets the A16.

A resident reported this to me in my capacity as Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator for Spilsby (South) Residents.
One of the pedestrian refuge bollards at the junction of Boston Road and the A16 has been severely damaged and appears to have been struck by a vehicle. The bollard is partially collapsed and no longer provides clear visibility or protection for pedestrians using the crossing point.
This is a very busy junction with fast-moving traffic entering and leaving the A16. The refuge island is used by pedestrians crossing Boston Road, and the damaged bollard significantly reduces visibility and safety, particularly for elderly or vulnerable residents.
I understand from local residents that the bollard has been in this condition for a considerable period of time.
Given the traffic speed and location, this presents an ongoing road safety risk and would benefit from inspection and replacement.
