On Station Road East, Grantham, between St John’s Church and Railway Car Park

Reported via mobile in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 23:13, Friday 27 February 2026

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2881603.

This is a Double Pothole within a recent patch, with a third hole developing at the edge of the large patch! They are in the centre of the busy road and stone debris has been scattered across the carriageway. This MUST BE REMOVED ASAP as LCC don’t want to be sued when someone is hit by a flying stone/chunk of tarmac. This IS NOT the large single pothole at the junction between St John’s church and the old Spittlegate School, which is just a few yards away. These TWO potholes plus a developing one are Between St John’s Church AND the large station carpark opposite. ALL THREE LARGE POTHOLES NEED REPAIRING AT THE SAME TIME! Plus the developing hole shown above. These holes have been getting worse over the last 4+ weeks. Both deeper holes were partly filled with water so impossible to measure the depth, but both larger holes deep enough to damage a tyre. Possiblty three+ inches. The What3Words reference on the adjacent pavement is cloak.gent.spell. It was too busy to stand in the middle of the road to get the exact reference.
