Summary of the Issue The previous repair work carried out on this bend has simply not been fit for purpose. The patching applied has failed again within a short period, especially after the first spell of poor weather. This clearly illustrates that the method used—likely jet‑patching or a similar quick‑fix approach—is just not suitable for the conditions here and the wear and tear the bend in the road is subject to.

Why the Current Approach Fails - The surface breaks down rapidly because the repair is not properly prepared or bonded. - Jet‑patching and comparable techniques do not provide the durability needed on a road that experiences repeated weathering and traffic stress. - The repeated cycle of temporary fixes is leading to ongoing deterioration and unnecessary repeat visits.

What’s Needed A properly prepared, long‑lasting tarmac section repair is required. This should include: - Cutting out the failed area cleanly - Preparing the base to the correct depth - Installing a hot‑laid tarmac repair designed for longevity - Ensuring proper compaction and sealing to prevent water ingress

This approach will provide a durable, cost‑effective solution rather than another short‑term fix that quickly fails.
