  • Forty‑two potholes have been reported on this stretch of road. Only ten have been repaired, leaving several seriously dangerous defects outstanding. Of particular concern are two manhole covers where the metal edges protrude over an inch above the road surface, creating a significant hazard for all road users. This section has been the subject of repeated reports over a long period. Some of the more recent submissions include: • 19.10.2025 – Council Ref: 2858900 • 19.01.2026 – Council Ref: 2870515 • 05.03.2026 – Council Ref: 2882951 Despite these multiple notifications, the condition of the road continues to deteriorate. I also wish to draw your attention to the narrow width of this section of a busy road, which leaves drivers with very limited room to manoeuvre around defects. Combined with the poor condition of the street lighting, the risks are amplified, particularly during darker hours or adverse weather. The current state of the carriageway and lighting presents an unacceptable danger to motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. I am requesting urgent inspection and immediate remedial action before a serious incident occurs.

  • No it has not been fixed. as outlined in my previous post after some of the work was carried out, large potholes and manhole cover frames sticking up are dangerous. one area still has yellow paint marks showing it is due for repair.

  • This section of road hasn’t been repaired properly at all. It’s now becoming so dangerous from drivers avoiding pot holes round the bend with near misses from on going traffic. There has only been a ‘few’ that have been repaired on this stretch with major pot holes still outstanding a repair. As it has been said, some pot holes that have been sprayed in yellow paint to be repaired are still there not repaired. There will be an accident or a risk to a pedestrian with cars swerving.
