Investigating
Grange Rd opposite the junction with Caroline Rd Metheringham
Reported via mobile in the Wheel tracks or ruts category anonymously at 13:15, Friday 6 March 2026
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2883192.
There are very large ruts and tyre marks in the grass verge caused by delivery trucks being too large for this residential street. The trucks deliver to the nearby shops and then follow the road through the estate exiting from Caroline Rd turning left into Grange Rd. This is a residential street that is not wide enough for these trucks to turn safely on the tarmac road therefore they have to bump up the kerb onto the grass to execute their manoeuvre. In doing so, the combined weight and the frequency has destroyed this area of grass turning it into a muddy mess. This mud then gets transferred onto the road making it slippery in wet conditions. Please can the tarmac be extended to cover this area or stop the trucks using this route? Thank you
