Road surface has been damaged for many years, it’s very uneven and is causing vibration in the houses either side of the road. Road needs resurfacing. Really is bad when driving over it considering it’s a 50 limit there. 200m approx of road is affected but might be much more.

  • I understand that the surface doesn’t contain any large craters, however there are a lot of small bumps that if you drive over it, you’ll see exactly what I mean. Many of the people that live in the properties on either side of the road are concerned about the levels of vibration that is being caused by the uneven surface to the road. HGVs passing over the surface are the most noticeable within the properties, this happens all day and even through the night. We are worried what this is doing to our properties, the foundations etc. Houses should not be shaking because of a HGV passing over the road, and considering the volume of traffic that passes the houses (being the main route between Boston and skegness). Something needs doing with this road surface as soon as possible to avoid damage to properties. The road is not fit for purpose and it should not have to get worse before it gets better, it needs fixing. Be proactive and fix this before damage is caused and that’s on the council.

  • Still no further update seen with this. Spoke to local residents who are saying that walls are cracking in their home due to the massive vibration in their house when HGVs pass over this. Have encouraged to report but I think this needs looking into urgently before more damage is caused to houses, caused by the road.
