Rectory Lane Harlaxton junction with A607 Grantham to Melton

Reported via mobile in the Pothole on road/cycleway category by Kevin Moore at 12:41, Wednesday 15 April 2026

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2888478.

Roadworks completed exactly here yesterday 14th April. Now I found 1 of the 3 inspection covers lifted as in the photo. I replaced it and then observed that HGVs then lift it a little each time they cross it until it then jumps out of its recess. A major safety risk to motorcycles or cycles

  • I have driven past here again today. The cover is now no longer there, so there is now a 35cm x 25cm deep hole in the road, which is more than 30cm deep. Totally ridiculous. Hopefully no motorcycle or cycle riders get killed.
