I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the condition of the public pavement directly outside my property.
The paving slabs/blocks adjacent to my boundary wall have significantly sunk, creating a low point where water now pools whenever it rains. As a result, water is consistently sitting against my wall rather than draining away as it should.
This ongoing issue has now caused visible damage to my wall, including deterioration and rot to the brickwork and coping. The problem appears to stem directly from the failure of the pavement surface and drainage, which falls under the council’s responsibility to maintain.
I would appreciate it if the council could:
1. Inspect the affected area as soon as possible 2. Repair and re-level the sunken pavement to ensure proper drainage 3. Advise on next steps regarding the damage caused to my wall
