    We are not taking immediate action with this report as, although the road surface has deteriorated, it does not currently meet the intervention level specified within the Council’s Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan (HIAMP).

    The Highway Authority prioritises safety-critical defects that meet these intervention levels to ensure available resources are directed to locations presenting the greatest risk to highway users.

    The condition of the carriageway will continue to be monitored as part of routine highway safety inspections and further action will be taken should it deteriorate to the point where it meets the Council’s intervention criteria. Thank you for reporting this matter.
