  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Lincolnshire County Council at 08:44, Thursday 28 May 2026

  • Thank you for your report. We have inspected the location and can confirm the vegetation is privately owned and currently not causing an obstruction or safety issue on the public footway. As the vegetation does not presently affect safe passage, no further action will be taken by the County Council at this time.

Under common law, adjoining landowners are responsible for maintaining vegetation growing from their property and preventing it from encroaching onto the public highway. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility

  • This must be due to budget cuts as the council have tended to these weeds in the past, shame the council don't want our streets to look nice instead of looking overgrown and unsightly

    State changed to: Open

  • A resident has cut all these weeds back now

    State changed to: Fixed
