Overgrown hedge has taken ownership of footpath
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Road/Pavement) category anonymously at 17:05, Friday 29 May 2026
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2893088.
The hedge has grown over more that 50% of the footpath for about 20 feet long. This is forcing people to walk in the road. The hedge should be cut right back to the edge of the footpath. I was driving down the high street last week and a lady walking her dogs just stepped out into the road right in front of my car. This would not have happened if the footpath was wide enough this is very hazardous letting this hedge grow over and block over half the path.
