Reported via mobile in the Tree roots raising footpath category anonymously at 07:35, Tuesday 2 June 2026

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2893338.

Hi The footway that runs upto Burton Road is overgrown.

I know it is temporarily shut but someone has put barbed wire over the fence which makes it dangerous if anyone temporarily uses this route.

Thanks

  • We are not going to cut the grass or enforce the removal of the barbed wire because the path is temporarily closed and signed as such. No person should be taking access here and furthermore, would be breaking the law in doing so. I would not appear legally sustainable to argue that the barbed wire poses a nuisance to users in the circumstances of use being forbidden, deterred and unexpected. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
