Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2893617.

Four PROW meet here and it’s part of the Viking Way, I believe. However it’s impassable due to the narrow PROW between undergrowth to the north being a stream, and to the PROW leading downhill to the west being completely overgrown and illegible. We had to retrace our steps and find another route round. Please make the PROW available again, as this would improve accessibility at this confluence of a number of footpaths.

  • It is not proposed to clear out the section of public footpath you have pinned as that is now a heavily vegetated habitat which the public have long since abandoned in favour of a parallel route slightly below along the current headland. We will clear out the permissive path that has been photographed and mend the footbridge over which it passes. Also to clear out the footpath down the hillside from here to the footpath you have pinned. This isn't part of the Viking Way currently, which was reviewed to follow safer and more accessible paths in the Lincoln city area. This now used more accessible footpath runs along the farm track up diagonally up the hill and then to turn tightly right to hug the outside of the NHS premises then onwards on its original course south through the cliff villages. Thank you for reporting this matter.
