Towards the end of July 2025 Station Road Sutterton was closed off to do a repair to the dip that was in the road, that repair was sufficient until the dip started to appear some months back. A few weeks ago highways came out to repair the hole but instead of closing the road off, digging out a sufficient amount of road, building the road up and repairing it, they just put some more tarmac over the top and were done in 15 minutes. Unfortunately this repair is insufficient and it has actually made things worse. Any HGV travelling along Station Road when it hits the dip is shaking my house to it’s core, it feels like we’re having an earthquake! My property, Woodland Dell is not the only house that suffers but my neighbours at Atlas House and The Croft suffer too. Lately we have had an increased number of speeding trucks up and down the road throughout the day and night which is now at night time affecting our sleep due to the property shaking. I am also making you aware of this issue as if any damages to the structure of our house is affected then I will be holding highways liable. Please could you make this issue a priority to be fixed? I have noticed a number of roads in and around Sutterton being repaired and resurfaced lately but I believe this issue to be of higher importance, I can even provide footage from my security cameras that shows the trucks bouncing out the dip.
