Beech road from Linden Avenue to B1188
Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 17:56, Friday 5 June 2026
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2893929.
There are 70 potholes ,I counted them whilst out walking. These have been a problem for many months. the last time highways dept. came they only repaired some and the ones they left are getting bigger and more of a hazard as the weeks go by. Drivers are having to drive in the centre of the road to avoid them and this as they approach a bend . there will be an accident before long. it is time these potholes were repaired .

We’re sending you this message to let you know that an officer has already assessed the condition of the carriageway on Beech Road at the location provided and repairs to the defects that meet the County Councils safety intervention criteria have already been completed. Whilst there are areas of carriageway failure remaining these currently are not considered hazardous. Resurfacing work is planned to take place next year but exact timescales for these works are not available at this time. Please be aware that all roads and footways are inspected for safety and condition at a frequency in accordance with County Council policy. Thank you for reporting this matter.

Pothole reference 2893929. Thanks for checking the potholes and declaring them not hazardous and that nothing will be done to repair them until 2027. I am amazed at the council attitude to this problem and their complete lack of care for residents. The criteria used to assess the potholes is obviously not fit for purpose. Just how bad does it have to be before we get some action. I appreciate they are not deep but its the large number of them ...70.....that is creating a hazard.
