There is a camera watching the footpath following you around when you walk. Making you feel really uncomfortable there is no signs saying they are videoing you at all. This has happened a few times when I’ve been walking the footpath, not very good as children use this route very often too.

The use of CCTV does not offend any highways law which the county council enforces. Rather, this is governed by the Information Commissioner's Office and specifically the Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner. The direct gov website may hold useful information. The public footpaths are non-continuous and long obstructed by farm buildings in the yard at Kelby. The county council endorses an alternative and currently permissive route exiting the yard by the village pond, following the main street taking in the sights of the village, then re-joining the right of way via a further permissive path where the estate drive meets the Oasby Road. It is understood that this may be proposed as a formal diversion in due course. Thank you for reporting this matter.
