I have previously reported the safety fence which is broken and dangerous and I know this is in progress. I’d now like to report as a separate issue the brick structure underneath the road which has succumbed to the constant flooding we experience. I feel that the next flood will see these bricks being washed away and cause collapse of the road. I am equally worried about the Bankside to my property (no 2) which has been washed away. This is just 2 metres from the corner of my property and we are seeing some movement in the surrounding pavement. Unfortunately I can only upload 3 pictures but I have many more showing how high the flood water gets and how it has affected our property, bridge structure and the damage to the road structure. Please let me know how I can send these to you. I would appreciate meeting a representative from your office so I can point out the issues if possible. Thank you.

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

  • Good afternoon. I was wandering if anyone has assessed the issue of the bankside brickwork which is crumbling yet? I would like to invite the assessor to view this from my property where it can be seen more clearly. The flooding has clearly taken its toll and has done so on my property bank also. Thank you.
