Roadside verges, Ruskington Fen

Reported via mobile in the Grass cutting category anonymously at 21:59, Friday 12 June 2026

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2894924.

Highways repaired the road a few months ago and spread soil and wild flower seed along the edges. We have enjoyed watching the plants grow and flower, adding colour and diversity to a normally drab, boring, verge. Imagine our disappointment to see all the beautiful flowers cut down yesterday before they had a chance to finish flowering and set seed. What was the point of spending thousands of pounds just to destroy them a few weeks later?
