Not just this specific drain but the majority of the drains on Wide Bargate

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2897193.

There appears to be some sort of blockage in the majority drains on Wide Bargate which has been causing a horrible smell for a while now. Anglian Water have cleaned their drains out but the smell is still there, and they believe its coming from the highways drains. Please can the drains be inspected and cleared?

  • We’re sending you this message to let you know that we've inspected and most of the gullies in this area appear to be clear and working, any gullies in the area that are blocked do not appear to be causing a serious highway safety or property flooding issue, therefore we will not be ordering work at this time. On inspection there was no noticable smell. However, the annual cyclic cleanse of the system will be being undertaken within the next few months. Thank you for reporting this matter.
