There is a depression in the carriage way (scaring where services have been routed through the surface), although not to a great depth. However, due to the width (South to North) all HGV and similar vehicles wheels drop. This creates a loud noise and a vibration from the wheels dropping and hitting the surface. This vibration is felt through the properties in close proximation to the carriage way depression.
