  • This is not a very good photo as it really drops down causing our house to shake violently and for vehicles to have their tyres hurt..

  • There are many factors affecting the transmissions of noise and vibration in properties which are adjacent to carriageways, including noise nuisance through HGV tyres, transmissions through utility or private apparatus, other factors include soil types, moisture content of the soils, distance from the source, depth and condition of the foundation and the condition of the structure. Lincolnshire County Council is only responsible for the bound and unbound layers of the carriageway (the stone and tarmac). The maintenance of other apparatus in the structure of the road is the responsibility of the individual utility companies or other property owners. If you believe you have suffered any loss or damage, either by noise and / or vibration, you may wish to commission your own independent engineering investigation. Please note that the onus of proof regarding the cause of damage to the property is on the property owner who must provide sound evidence from experts before the Council will consider further investigation. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
