Outside Bode Shop/Union Place junction

The road surface outside Bode near the Union Place junction is begging for help and has been for way too long now, it's filled with potholes and when it's raining you have to slow down your car to an appalling speed to save your suspension. You can't ride a bike without getting brutally splashed. Vehicles and bikes should be able to drive at a proper constant speed and not have to slow down every 10 seconds on Witham Place simply because the council can't do it's job of repairing roads. The last report that was done on this road ended up to be a quick job of putting in some asphalt into 3 or 4 potholes and not even flattening it. We pay council tax for this terrible road management.

We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the road condition and at this time it does not require urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County road network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime. Thank you for reporting this matter.
