Large broken branch of large tree

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2897944.

A large crack heard during heavy wind and a large branch can be seen to be fractured. The tree is of disputed ownership and located over a public footpath leading from Stainfield Rd to Church Lane. Local Parish council have had liaison in the past but tree deemed safe. Believed no immediate danger but unknown if it becomes windy again.

  • The fractured branch is still in position and hanging above the foot path from high in the tree. The cut branch in your summary refers to another branch that came down some years ago. If someone would like to contact me I will show the branch to the officer. It was still in place at this time 10.45 hrs 22/7/2026.
